Golden Stillness
This piece began as a photo encaustic on Somerset Velvet paper mounted to a birch panel, but it didn’t go as planned.
After removing the wax (and slightly damaging the print), I added texture with tissue paper and acrylic medium, then finished it with a thin layer of cold wax.
This one taught me a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and how to keep going anyway.
